I know what you’re thinking. If I read a headline about falling in love with a married man, I’d think, “woman, are you crazy? Stupid? Or are you simply immoral?”

Frankly, I wouldn’t blame you if you held these opinions. Reading the comments on other Medium articles on this topic reminds me of how much infidelity is a lightning rod for criticism.

But the big ugly truth of the matter is that despite our upbringings and lessons in ethics or morality, we can’t always suppress the feelings we develop for people — married or not.
